71st Anniversary Thanksgiving Service

Continuing the Christian Charity

With hearts of praise and thanksgiving, the TTC community came together, on 4 October 2019, to celebrate 71 years of God’s faithfulness to the college.  The celebratory service kicked off with the whole congregation praising God with the hymn Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.  How befitting of the occasion and mood of the college on that special day.  The Principal led the thanksgiving address by recounting God’s blessings and provisions to the college for the year past – from the faculty retreat in Shanghai to the collaborations with the Bible Society of Singapore and the National Council of Churches, Singapore to form ETHOS Institute for Public Christianity, and most of all, the body life of the college with its good mix of local and international students living and studying together.

Our guest speaker, the Right Reverend Keith Lai, Moderator of the Presbyterian Synod, challenged the school not only to teach the Great Commission but also work towards its completion faithfully.

In commemoration this occasion, the college also unveiled the TTC Heritage Gallery, which showcases the history of the school and the key contributors who have laboured to build up the college in her long history. The celebration ended on a high note with the college  coming together to partake the Lord’s Supper as the one body of Christ.  Indeed, we have much to be thankful for as we celebrate 71 years of God’s faithfulness to the college.  May we continue to hold our torch high and shine forth the light of Christ to the world.   Lux Mundi!
