What are the differences between the Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Master of Theological Studies (MTS ) programmes?
The MDiv programme is a vocational programme to prepare men and women for full-time ministry in the church and world. The MTS programme is a non-vocational programme to help lay leaders and members to be better equipped to serve the church as laity. The BD/MDiv is a 3-year programme of 96 credit hours. The MTS is a 2-year programme of 64 credit hours.
What is the time table schedule like?
Generally, courses are conducted in one session, each session is a time slot of 2 hours 50 minutes (either 8:30 – 11:20 am or 2:00 – 4:50 pm). Each semester’s time table will be made known at the end of October/April.
Can I study in TTC without being a matriculated student?
Yes, we accept Occasional students to study at most two courses per semester for credit or audit.
Are there evening classes in the BD/MDiv/MTS programmes?
There are no evening classes conducted for BD/MDiv/MTS. TTC’s EQUIP conducts evening courses, please refer to our website for more information.
When can I join the College? When does the new academic year begin?
Each new academic year commences in July where new students are enrolled.
Is it possible for international students using more than the minimum period to compete their studies?
International students who are admitted on a student pass must complete their studies within the minimum time limit. Any extension must be approved by the College and subjected to, if necessary, the approval from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, Singapore.
Is the subsidized fee applicable to international students?
Yes, the subsidized fee is applicable to all students.
I have done some theological studies in another College, can I transfer credits to TTC if I am accepted?
Transfer of credits will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and you will have to provide: (1) transcript; (2) course syllabus; and (3) assignment and examination papers for the Registrar to make an assessment for credit transfer.
