Dr. Roland Chia, Chew Hock Hin Professor of Christian Doctrine, presented a lecture and participated in a Joint Seminar Programme organized by Studies in Inter-Religious Relations in Plural Societies (SRP) Programme, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) of the Nanyang Technological University, and the Institute of Religious Studies/Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) on 19 March 2018.

Dr. Chia’s lecture was entitled: “Localising Practice of Christianity in the context of Singapore.” Other presenters were Assoc Profs Paul Hedges and Mohamed Ali from RSIS, and delegates from SASS led by Prof Yan Kejia. A total of eight presentations were given, with examples of localized faith practices in China and Singapore, and drawn from concrete case studies of Christianity and Islam.
