On 10th April 2018, TTC held a public lecture by Professor John M. G. Barclay. Professor Barclay is the Lightfoot Professor of Divinity at Durham University in the United Kingdom. Renowned for his work on the history of the early church, he spoke on the topic, “Early Christianity and the Survival of the Poor.”

We give praise and glory to God for making the Spiritual Retreat in March yet another occasion in which he met with the retreatants in deep and profound ways. This is the eighth spiritual retreat since the College began offering it in May 2016. Held on its campus and intentionally limited to twelve retreatants, the Spiritual Retreat made available the time and space for them to commune with the Lord.

On 21 March, Principal Dr Ngoei and three senior faculty members warmly welcomed a distinguished group of visitors from Shanghai. They were Imam Musa Jin (President of Shanghai Islamic Association), Professor Yan Kejia (Director of Institute of Religious Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, SASS), Dr Huang Haibo (Institute of Religious Studies) and Dr Hei Ying (Centre for the Study of Religion and Culture).

Dr. Roland Chia, Chew Hock Hin Professor of Christian Doctrine, presented a lecture and participated in a Joint Seminar Programme organized by Studies in Inter-Religious Relations in Plural Societies (SRP) Programme, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) of the Nanyang Technological University, and the Institute of Religious Studies/Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) on 19 March 2018.
