Methodist Bishop Meets TTC Students

On 15 January 2018, about seventy Methodist students and faculty of TTC gathered at the invitation of Rev Dr Chong Chin Chung, Bishop of the Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS), for an informal lunch and fellowship meeting. Also present were Rev Dr Gregory Goh Nai Lat, President of the Chinese Annual Conference (CAC), Rev. James Nagulan, President of the Emmanuel Tamil Annual Conference (ETAC), Rev Dr Gordon Wong, President of the Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC), and Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, Principal of TTC.

In his address, Bishop Chong urged us students to guard our hearts even as we equip our minds through studies, and reminded us to take on the attitude of servanthood as we prepare for ministry in the churches. The Conference Presidents also encouraged us to build bonds of friendship that would form the backbone for future cooperation in the MCS. Lunch was then followed by presentations by the team promoting the DISCIPLE course as well as the Directorate of Schools Ministry.

This event brought together fellow Methodists from many parts of the wider family, including students from overseas. We gladly look forward to more of such “family gatherings” during our TTC years, and beyond.
