TTC Open House 2018

TTC’s annual open house was held on 24th Jan this year. Over 80 people from various churches came to catch a glimpse of what it is like to be a student at TTC. Each of the attendees got to see, hear and feel what going through a seminary is like. The day began with the arrival of the participants and the Principal’s speech. Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian welcomed and addressed all present with the message that theological education is for all Christians and not just confined to those going into full-time ministry. This was followed by a testimony from a 3rd year student, Mr Alex Chew, who shared his struggles in theological education, the way he overcame them, and the way TTC trains a student academically and spiritually. Thereafter, participants were given a chance to sit through a typical TTC lecture and chapel service. In his chapel sermon, our Vice-Principal, Rev Dr Edwin Tay, gave an exposition of 1 Cor 8. He emphasised the way in which our knowledge of God’s truth is to be employed in the service of love for others. After chapel, participants were given the opportunity to converse with lecturers and current students at the community lunch. The open house ended with a tour of various college facilities by tour guides from the student body. It was a wonderful privilege for the TTC community to be able to share the exciting journey of theological education with all who came.
